***PLEASE BE
SURE TO READ THIS THOROUGHLY BEFORE INQUIRING ABOUT ANY AVAILABLE
GOATS***
- No animal will be held for any amount of time without a non refundable 50% deposit - and yes, non refundable means exactly that. Should you be unable to complete the transaction for any reason, in the agreed upon terms, your deposit will not be returned to you.
- No animal will be held for more than 2 weeks after deposit is made - if the transaction has not been paid in full and the animal picked up by the end of the two week period, you will forfeit your deposit and the animal will be placed back up for sale.
- We accept reservations only on a select number of unborn kids per breed - a $100 non refundable deposit is due at the time of reservation, as well as a signed copy of our contract to show that you have read and understand all outlined sales policies. The contract will be emailed to you upon your expression of interest, or can be found HERE.
- Prices stated in public
ads, on our Facebook page, and on our For Sale
page are FIRM and non negotiable - raising livestock is not a "cheap"
or inexpensive endeavor, and yes, our prices reflect that. Our animals
are fed premium grain, exellent hay, recieve
anthlementics/antibiotics/vet care as warranted, and are disease
tested, in addition to being loved dearly and well cared for.
- Individual disease test results for adult animals for sale, when available, will be provided to SERIOUS buyers at their request (we cannot test animals under eight weeks of age, nor can we hold reserved kids until that age if a tested animal is desired - kids are pulled at birth and raised on powdered colostrum/pasteurized milk, but that does not in any way guarantee status at a later date)
- We cannot guarantee that any animal will re-test at the same status as provided to the buyer [when available]. Transmission vectors constantly being revised in many livestock illnesses, making it impossible to make any guarantees of status as long as we continue to show our goats (a choice that we have considered long and hard, but ultimately deemed worthwhile and necessary to our own enjoyment of this hobby).
- We cannot guarantee health status in any capacity once the animal leaves our property, ie. we will not be held liable, and no refunds will be issued once payment is exchanged and the animal is removed. Should you question anything when you see the animal, please discuss this with me prior to purchase/payment - not doing so will void any recourse in the future. If a problem arrises that can be proven beyond a reasonable doubt to have existed prior to the sale/transport/shipment of the animal, a legitimate vet assesment must be submitted within one week of purchase. After revision of the case by ourselves and our own herd vet, a refund or replacment may be offered at our discression if, and only if, we find suitable proof has been provided.
- Buyers are not allowed in barns and pens under any circumstances due to concern for possible cross contamination and propety casing. Sires/dams can be brought to the front of the main barn for viewing if needed, provided that the potential buyer has requested this PRIOR to their arrival.
- If the animal cannot be picked up in person, all third party transport arrangments and fees are explicitly the responsibility of the buyer.
- Kids under weaning age can generally be shipped via air. We ship out of Albany International Airport, and due to our close proximity offer this without any additional gas/transport fees. Buyer is responsible for the purchase of an airline approved travel crate, as well as the cost of the plane ticket, any extra testing required per your own state regulations, and the requisite CVI/Interstate Health Certificate.
- Older animals must be shipped ground through a tranporter if you cannot pick them up yourself (though please note, I do not allow kids still being bottle fed to be sent with a ground transport for their own health and safety). If they are being shipped anywhere other than within NYS, you will need to pay for a CVI/Interstate Health Certificate.
- If picking up animals in person, please be sure that you have an adequate method of transport available - for their health and safety, I will not allow them to be tied in an open truck bed, stuffed into a crate that is much too small, etc.
- Ultimately, our Sales
Agreement/Bill of Sale can be seen HERE,
and I would encourage all potential buyers to peruse it before inquiry.
